MYEG's JPJ Collection-Agent Services Are Suspended From 5 October: Where to Renew Road Tax and Licences
JPJ will suspend MyEG and Zetrix AI as its collection agents from 12.01am on 5 October 2026. This does not mean every MYEG service stops — but regular JPJ users should know which official channels to use next.

If you normally use MYEG for road tax, driving-licence or other JPJ-related transactions, there is an important change from 5 October 2026.
JPJ announced on 2 October that the services of My E.G. Sdn Bhd and Zetrix AI Bhd as JPJ collection agents will be suspended from 12.01am on 5 October.
The first thing to understand is what that does — and does not — mean.
It does not mean that every MYEG service or the entire MYEG platform has been shut down.
The suspension specifically concerns their role as JPJ collection agents. For drivers, the practical question is where to handle JPJ transactions if MYEG was your usual route.
Start with JPJ's own official channels
If you already use the JPJ app, the simplest response is to stay inside JPJ's official ecosystem.
Current official channels include:
- MyJPJ for vehicle and licence information, summons checks, digital LKM/LMM and related JPJ services;
- MySIKAP, JPJ's official online transaction platform;
- JPJ and UTC counters;
- other channels such as Pos Malaysia or JPJ-listed service points, depending on the transaction.
JPJ describes MyJPJ as its digital gateway, while MySIKAP remains an official online transaction platform.
For road tax, MyGovernment also provides an official LKM renewal service connected to JPJ.
If your road tax expires soon, do not wait until the final day
This is the most practical takeaway.
If your LKM expires around the 5 October transition, check these now:
- Is your motor insurance already active for the renewal period?
- What is your exact road-tax expiry date?
- Is your usual channel still available after 5 October?
- Can the transaction be completed through an official JPJ online channel instead?
JPJ's LKM renewal guidance requires valid vehicle insurance for the renewal period.
If you prefer digital services, checking the official online route early is usually easier than discovering a problem on the expiry date and then having to queue at a counter.
What about driving-licence renewal?
JPJ's official CDL renewal guidance lists physical channels including:
- JPJ State or Branch offices;
- UTC;
- 1JPJ counters;
- eKhidmat kiosks;
- Pos Malaysia offices.
MyGovernment also lists digital channels such as MySIKAP and MyJPJ for licence-related services.
Because the MYEG collection-agent arrangement changes from 5 October, check the current JPJ system before submitting rather than relying on an old guide or someone else's previous experience.
Can you still check summonses?
Yes — the announcement should not be interpreted as “JPJ summonses cannot be checked anymore”.
MyJPJ itself supports checks for JPJ summonses, demerit points and blacklist status.
The distinction is important: being able to view information is not necessarily the same as every payment or collection process remaining unchanged.
The 5 October announcement is about the collection-agent relationship, not a shutdown of JPJ's digital services.
Why the announcement is easy to misunderstand
MYEG has been a familiar route for Malaysian government-related transactions for years.
So a headline saying “MYEG suspended” can quickly turn into the assumption that:
every MYEG function has stopped.
That is not what JPJ announced.
A better rule is:
- for JPJ transactions, check JPJ's official channels first;
- do not assume unrelated MYEG services for other agencies are affected;
- if a specific JPJ transaction is unclear, check the latest JPJ notice before paying.
Prefer online over a long UTC queue?
For many people, yes.
UTC is useful, but queues can be long during busy periods. If your transaction is available through an official JPJ digital channel and your details are in order, there is little benefit in travelling to a counter just for reassurance.
Useful starting points include:
Use a counter when the system tells you the transaction cannot be completed online or when your case genuinely requires in-person verification.
Four mistakes to avoid around the transition
Waiting until the last day
A channel change, maintenance issue, insurance mismatch or account problem can leave you with no buffer.
Clicking unfamiliar “JPJ renewal” links
Service changes create opportunities for fake payment pages and misleading third-party links. Use official JPJ or MyGovernment channels.
Assuming MYEG suspension means JPJ has no online services
JPJ still has its own digital ecosystem. Availability varies by transaction.
Trying to renew road tax before insurance is in place
Valid motor insurance is a core requirement for LKM renewal.
The short version
From 12.01am on 5 October 2026, MyEG and Zetrix AI's services as JPJ collection agents are suspended.
If you need to handle road tax, licences or summons-related matters:
- check JPJ's official channels first;
- use online services where available;
- go to JPJ or UTC when an in-person transaction is required;
- and most importantly, do not wait until the last day.
This is a change in a collection channel — not the disappearance of JPJ services.
